I am very happy to announce you that I won today the gold medal in constant weight during the AIDA Depth World Championship 2011 with a dive at -117m!

Between the 8th of June and the 2nd of July, I spent more than 3 weeks in Santorini to train at depth. It has become a tradition for me since 2008 to spend some time in Greece at the beginning of the summer. After 2 years in Crete, 1 year in Kalamata, Stavros Kastrinakis, the organiser decided to organise the trip in the touristic island of Santorini.
During 24 days, despite very hard conditions (strong wind), I did some nice deep dives in the 3 disciplines (Constant weight with fin, constant weight no fins and free immersion) as main goal the adaptation to the depth. The target of this year is the world championship organised in Kalamata (Greece) between the 15th and the 25th of September).
Julie and I have been invited by Jack Pass, the famous spearfisher, to visit the beautiful french tropical island to show our movie Free Fall to the
Mayotte Underwater Film Festival. The trip was only 1 week long but very intense! Some conferences with children at school, a freediving course, spearfishing sessions, and on the top of that, a
TV crew from Thalassa (One the main TV program in France) was following us during all the trip! The program will be shown around February 2012 and I will of course publish a link
here!
In April, Julie and I were on a very interesting project: A fashion "Haute Couture" photo shooting with Franck Seguin and the french Sport and Fashion magazine: l'Equipe "Sport et Style"
We spent 3 days working in the water of in Sharm el Sheikh, at the Four Seasons Hotel, with all the crew: the artistic director, the journalist, the photographer Franck Seguin, the Stylist June Nakamoto and her assistant, Julie and me.

1 month ago, I took part to one of the most famous cross country skiing race in Europe: "La Transjurassienne"
It was my first race ever, and a fantastic experience. I finished 811th and there was 3200 competitors.
3 weeks after I left Nice for the french Pyrénées for an altitude training camp In Font Romeu (1850m).
The daily programm was as follow:
MORNING:
. 5.30: wake up
. 6 to 8: Static apnea training + swimming
. 8 to 9: Breakfast
. 9 to 12: Cross country skying or hiking
. 12 to 1: Lunch
AFTERNOON:
. 1 to 3: Nap
. 3 to 5: Weight lifting
. 5 to 7: Dynamic apnea + swimming
. 7 to 8: Dinner
EVENING:
(optionnal): 8.30 to 9.30: Indoor soccer
10: SLEEP!!!!
This training camp was organised by Fred SESSA, member of the french team and former world record holder in dynamic apnea (255m).
The first idea of this camp is to train in altitude in order to increase the amount of red cells. The second idea is to dedicate completly to an intense training routine without any other activity for 10 days (nobody can do this in the everyday life...).
It was a unique experience and I am looking forward to see the result in a couple of weeks in the depth.

Dear friends,
next week end, I am going to take part to the famous cross country skiing competition: TRANSJURASSIENNE.
Because of lack of snow, the race that is supposed to be be 76km will be 42km. Not so me as it will be my first one!.
