First heat today, in Constant Weigth No Fins.
I felt of course a little stressed, even if the announced performance of 73m was less than my maximum in training. The conditions were perfect today ! My dive was almost perfect too! Good glide,
power in the arms, almost no urge to breathe...
The equalisation was a little hard because of the stress and the only 3 packing.
The good news is that Morgan and Christian did their dive too ! So we are all in final!
Let's dive with the monofin now!

Some news of the last training sessions: 2 days ago, I did 80 m in CNF. The dive was hard but OK. It took me a very long
time to recover after this 3'24" dive. I decided to have a day-off right after this new personal best.
This morning, feeling very confortable in CWT so far, I have announced -102m and I did it with a lot of fun and pleasure. It took me 3'10" to make the dive. I just found out this morning (I already
knew, but I can confirm it now) that CNF is much harder than CWT in terms of physical work. I am happy to enjoy the monofin again.
Tomorrow I dive again in constant no fins. I will do a shallower dive and hope to find pleasure again.
Let's see...
Competition starts in 1 week.. Half of the athletes have arrived now. Pressure's increasing...

After a succesfull and easy dive in constant weight at 95, the 2 last dives were dedicated to no fins. 2 days ago, I did
79m. It was a little hard, but ok. Today, I did 80m but in the way up, I felt it was going to be difficult. I didn't want to take any risk, si I decided to pull until the surface. I don't know
what's the reason, but with the same settings than the previous dive, It took me 10 seconds more to reach the bottom plate (for only 1 metter difference).
So I will try to dive again tomorow at the ame depth, with 0.5kg again to see if there is any difference.
Stay tuned!!

Hello, a short message to give you some news. After the difficult dive at 76m, I went back the day after without any
weight at 75m. Despite the tiredness of the previous dive, the dive was good, and I had better sensations. Very good for the mental !
Today, I went in constant weight with fins at 95m and I felt great too. I feel like I found my rythm here in Long Island
and I have a very fast recovery allowed me to dive every day. Since I am here, I only had on e day rest. As the competition will approach dramatically, I will start soon increasing the numbers of
day-off. As the weather is getting better, I started swimming every afternoon after the nap, and it helps a lot in the body and the mind.
I will continue posting some videos but you will understand that It takes a lot of time and energy to make it. So the
quantity will decrease, with hopefully an even better quality!
Stay tuned !

Welcome on my blog for the daily diary of my preparation here at Dean's Blue Hole, in Long Island - Bahamas for the
upcoming Depth World Championship.
I will try to share with you almost everyday my life here in Bahamas, with some videos, photos and
comments.
All the shot (pictures and footage except underwater of course) will be made with my telephon, a SONY ERICSSON U10I 8.1
megapixels, as Sony Ericsson is the new partner of AIDA FRANCE French Team.
Yesterday and today were my 2 first training sessions here. Just some fun dives and a first try at 68m in Constant No
Fins today. Feelings are quiet ok even I feel that I am still a little jetlag. I did the last part of the ascent pulling on the rope to save energy and to make the dive a little
longer.
Apart from the diving, I spent the rest of my time searching for good food and I was quiet surprise to find some good
stuff. I have started cooking some healthy food and it makes me feel at home!
Some others freedivers already arrived fews days ago: Herbert Nitsch (the one who broke my last record), Johan Dahlstrom
from Sweden, Robert King (USA), Ryuzo Shinomya (the deepest Japanese and my roomate for the next week), Alexey Molchanov (Russia, World Record holder in dynamic) Kerian Hibbs and Kathryn Mac Phee
(New Zeland), Jana Strain (Canada)...
The conditions are not so good as the hurricane season doesn't seem to be over, a lot of wind, and a bad visibilty.
Fortunatly the weathercast is very optimist for the next days...
Stay tuned!
